We believe that, as a Church, we are a vital expression of the living Christ, and as such we will endeavor to act as His disciples. The purpose for which this Church is constituted is to acknowledge Jesus Christ as Savior, affirm its acceptance of Holy Scripture as the rule of faith and practice for the establishment and maintenance of the public worship of God, the celebration of Baptism and Holy Communion, and the enjoyment of Christian fellowship.
One of my favorite quotes ever, I was surprised to learn that many people think of themselves as the author. How non-comforting. Since God created everything, we should take comfort knowing He knows how all things work. Nothing catches Him by surprise. Now THAT is comforting.
